APPEAL FOLLOWING INCIDENT IN CANNOCK

We are appealing for information after a man and woman were targeted by thieves on the car park of a supermarket in Cannock.

At around 3pm on Friday 5 June, a man approached a couple as they left Sainsbury’s on the Orbital Retail Centre on Voyager Drive.

The man said someone had hit the husband and wife’s car with a bicycle and went around the back of the vehicle to show them damage.

At the same time another unknown man tried to steal a handbag from inside the car.

The couple saw the man inside the car and both suspects left the scene on foot.

Nothing was taken and there was no damage to the vehicle.

The suspects are described as aged between 30 and 40. One was wearing a bucket hat, sunglasses and a jacket.

We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant dashcam footage.
